BlogHer Loves and Dislikes

This year BlogHer was wwwaaaayyyyyy more relaxing than ever before.  I am not sure if it was because I am in such a different place in my life or if I just didn't care.  I was really nervous about Thursday night because I had 5 places to be at one time.  While getting ready I decided to say "Screw it, I will get to what I get to and I refuse to kill myself doing it."  I made it to 2 things.  Evidentally, there were a few feelings hurt that I didn't make it to their events but I just apologized and said I did my best.  It was good enough for me!

Enough about that.  Here are my loves and dislikes for this year....

LOVES

Robyn and Kimberly
I seriously couldn't ask for better girl friends.  On Thursday night we....nearly died in a pedicab, laughed so hard I was crying all my make-up off and almost pee'd my pants in a cab on the way home....that was just night 1!  The weekend was filled with snarky comments and some of the most hilarious statements I have ever heard. This photo is not from the crazy pedicab ride, it is from round 2.

Skinny Cow Lashes
I wasn't sure what false eyelashes had to do with cows but I really didn't care.  All I know is that I was in that line every day and I actually learned about some new products that are super yummy.  In the end I learned that Skinny has amazing lashes....whoever thought up this booth needs a promotion!

Pfizer
The Pfizer booth was stocked with everything that a woman could need at a conference with the exception of band-aids (which they don't make).  Packets of Advil and Advil Congestion were my life savers.  The chapstick has come in handy although I have more than I know what to do with.  Need some...let me know!

Hershey's S'mores!!!
Hershey's did a repeat performance of their S'mores Booth.  Besides having the most kick ass PR person, whom I love, it was s'mores!  Duh.  When you get to make your own s'mores over a hibachi, you can't go wrong.  Many a laugh was had in this booth.  I LOVE me some chocolate!

DISLIKES

Private Parties
OK, yes the private parties are AMAZING and I was invited to a lot but in the end I feel they really take away from the conference.  A lot of these other events were happening during session times so something had to give.  Since I have been to several blogging conferences, I often gave up a session but looking back I know I miss some great info.

Booths That Got It Wrong
I am not going to talk about the booths that totally missed the mark but there were several.  When someone asks me if I am a blogger and I am at a blogging conference....WTF?!?

Food
I thought the food was a let down this year.  There were Vegan and Gluten Free options for people this year which was great but they often looked more appealing and much healthier than the regular option.  One morning we ate of the gluten free table because they had fruit while the regular table had none.  I guess there was more than enough for everyone but I felt a little bad taking from a table knowing that there truly were gluten free people that needed that stuff.

The conference was great and I had a blast.  I am glad I went even though I came home so tired.  I have 5 bags of swag that should come in the mail today to go through.  I have no idea where it will all go and I am sure some of it will get donated but I am excited to sort of relive some of the memories when it gets here!
