Time For Me

LG was with her dad this weekend.  Most people would think I would be THRILLED with time to myself and in many ways I am.  I sleep until 8 which is unheard of in my world.  I watch whatever I want.  I just do whatever I want, when I want.

I try to make plans with friends but I am trying to not spend too much money.  Also, most of my friends are married and the weekend is family time.  I get it, but sometimes it makes me sad.

This weekend I watched 3 movies.  My husband wasn't a movie watcher therefore there are many movies that I never saw.  If you haven't heard of Red Box you must check them out.  For only $1 a night you can rent tons of titles.  The boxes are at grocery stores, outside 7-11's, etc.  They are awesome!

This weekend I watched Revolutionary Road, Four Christmases and Sunshine Cleaning.  I don't really recommend Revolutionary Road if you are trying to figure out your marriage.  It shows only the downsides to marriage and was pretty dang sad.  The other two were cute.  I love Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughan so Four Christmases was great!

It was a nice way to spend the rainy weekend, curled up on the couch just relaxing.  I will admit it was a little sad and I found myself crying at times just because.  Time heals all wounds right?

  1. Lia, I was a kid that spent weekends with her dad. I never actually thought of it from my mom's point of view until now. Thank you for a moment of clarity.

It is all undefined from here on out for you. Take it slow, make choices that will result in good things for you, and for Ash. This is a good step. Hard as it is, I am sure. Rebuild yourself. Movie time on the couch sounds nice.

Oh and don't forget about Netflix- I think we pay $8 a month for 2 at a time unlimited for the month-plus instant viewing from the computer on many titles. Also fancast.com is free. Just need internet access...... Lots of tv episodes and movies to stream straight to the laptop.....

    Hugs Mama!

  2. I watched Revolutionary Road while I was in LA last summer and WOW.. it was a total downer.. that was just weeks before my marriage when into the toilet... again. Definitely not a movie for the faint of heart.
