LG's Very Own Dog

LG is obsessed with my iPhone.  She crawls in my bed in the morning and immediately asks if she can play a game on my phone.  I often agree because it gives me a little bit more time to sleep.  Yes, she often plays educational games but a lot of the time they are just games to pass the time.  I am ok with that as not everything needs to be educational.

I was given the opportunity to review the new Cube Dog app by podotree, inc. and I was THRILLED.  More than anything LG wants a dog and right now I just can't give that to her.  I thought Cube Dog would be the perfect was to give her a dog!

Cube Dog gives you the ability to create your own unique cube dog by selecting a body, head, nose, ears and eyes, as well as color. You even get to name your dog!  Once you’ve created your dog, you’re ready to play! The app includes cool features like the ability to photograph your dog on-location using your iPhone camera. Plus, Cube Dogs can do everything from fetch a bone to play baseball! There are full 3D graphics with the ability to rotate and zoom and animate.

The app is free but for some of the additional animations and parts, you need to pay some extra money. It’s available fr iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 as well as the iPod Touch 3rd and 4th generation. This app is really cute but I have to admit that after just one use LG wasn't interested. I think that it would be really fun for a child a little but younger. I did have fun with it though and have been caught playing several times! I still think it is worth downloading since it is free!

My Humble Abode

I started moving in December 20th.  Our new home is 1000 sq. ft.  It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths.  It has a fireplace and some hardwood flooring.  It is bright and cheery! A Single Mom on Mother's Day

Mother's Day as a single mom looks a little different. There is no partner to take the kids out shopping for gifts or remind the kids to make something for mommy. There is a chance that on the weekend of Mother's Day you won't even have your child, you will have to ask if she can come home early to spend the afternoon with you. Mother's Day will be church in the morning alone surrounded by other mothers holding tightly to their children beaming with pride. You may feel slightly sorry for yourself but as you see other mother's you realize how incredibly lucky you are to be in their company and that there are many women who will never be called "mom." The Big Cleanse

Tomorrow I am embarking on a cleanse. It all started when Cristie and Amy banded together to get Amy healthier. I wanted in on the fun so Cristie and I talked about it, but then life happened and we never really connected. I started getting healthy on my own and things were going great. They still are but I have hit a little bit of a plateau now that I am back working. Last week Cristie told met that she was going to do a 2 week cleanse with some people, including Amy and did I want to join in? I jumped at the chance. Here I am on the day before the cleanse starts and I am FREAKING OUT! First, I am cutting out caffeine. I like to think that I am not addicted to my morning cup of coffee (or 2) but I am sure that I am. This one is going to be tough. I am not looking forward to it. Coffee has become a comfort for me in the morning so taking that away will be hard. I am going to replace coffee with some yum tea and hope that I can get comfort from that.
